Reddit Ads

This document covers the steps required to track conversion data from Reddit Ads using Gamesight. Using your Gamesight tracker with Reddit will allow you to measure conversions, clicks, and impressions* in your Gamesight dashboard and reporting.

Creating your Tracker

Once you are logged into your Gamesight account, you can click Trackers on the left-hand side of the page to access your trackers. Once you are on your tracker page, you can click the Create option to create a new tracker.

After clicking Create, you can then search for the Reddit integration option by typing 'Reddit' into the search field, or by clicking the appropriate category (Social) as shown below.

Click on the Reddit option and then click the "Use Reddit" button to create your tracker.

Next, click the Authorize with Reddit button and follow through the oAuth flow to link your Reddit Ads account to Gamesight as shown below.

Next, you will have to enter your Reddit Ads Account ID into the "Ad Account ID" field. This can be found by visiting https://ads.reddit.com/accounts where you can view your Account ID beginning with t2 (ex: t2_xxxxxx).

Our staff will need to ensure that your account is added to Reddit's whitelist in order to sync Reddit's reported impressions, clicks and cost data back to your Gamesight reporting. To complete the integration, we will need you to provide us with your Reddit User ID and your Reddit Ads Account ID. Click URL

Now that your tracker is created, copy the Click URL. It should be of the following form:

Just use the Network Tracker!

You do not need to proceed to the Campaign / Ad Group / Ad levels of the tracker creation for the Reddit Ads integration. Simply copy your full Network-level Click URL and use it as the Destination URL for your placements. Gamesight will automatically mirror the Campaign structure that you set up in your Reddit Ads account.

Impression URL

If you are able to do so, you can use your network-level Impression URL with your placements to track impressions. It should be of the following form:

Additional trackers can be added (such as the Impression URL) through Reddit Ads in the Trackers section of the dashboard. Simply click Add Tracker and fill in the following Reddit prompt shown below.

Multiple Landing Pages

Since Gamesight uses a single tracking link for all of your Reddit campaigns, it isn't possible to use the normal tracker management tools to control the landing pages for your campaigns. If you want to direct users to different landing pages you will need to use the destination_url parameter on your tracking link to control the page.

For example, if you wanted to override the landing page for your ad to direct to Google, you would append the URL to the end of your link as shown in the example below.
